Dark Waters of Freeport
Temple of Sea - Procan
The Temple of the Sea God may not be the biggest temple in the district, but it is impressive enough in its own right. Standing two stories tall, it has a large, open courtyard. A pool of saltwater stands in the middle—the same pool that has stood here for almost eight hundred years—and on clear warm days, the priests hold their services here. Worshippers and clergy climb into the pool and splash about until they are suffciently wrinkled, at which point the high priest calls the services to an end.
The Temple of the Sea God has a large congregation, as befits a city the relies on the sea for survival. It therefore has many priests and acolytes to attend to the people that come to pay their respects to this ocassionally violent and tempestuous god. The high priest Mother Lorilee is said to be the most powerful of the city’s priest, however she spends more time in the depths than on land. In her place Sister Gwendolyn tries her best to oversee the temple operations when she is not serving on the Captain’s Council.
